Beach Business Service was founded in 1981 with the goal of bringing an honest, reasonably-priced, quality alternative to the bookkeeping and tax preparation market.

More than 40 years later we are still focused on that goal and still doing whatever we can to serve our clients’ needs and keep their taxes as low as legally possible.

Our approach is relaxed and friendly because we don’t think having your taxes done should be as stressful as going to the dentist.

Staff Profiles:

Tom Collins

Tom, who has retired from daily operations,  is one of the founders of BBS and current Chairman Emeritus, he graduated from California State University- Fullerton and is an Enrolled Agent, licensed by the Internal Revenue Service to represent taxpayers nationally. Tom is available by appointment.

Tom has also been a writer, producer, and performer of stand-up, sketch, and improvisational comedy. He’s an avid golfer and bowler who loves to read cheap mystery novels.

Ed Cook

Ed, our CEO, has been with our company since 2012. He’s also an Enrolled Agent who works closely with our business clients in order to prepare necessary Financial Statements and provide assistance to clients who may need help with other business issues. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and in his spare time plays bass guitar in a local band.

Lenore Cook

Lenore has been our Office Manager since 2008. In addition to creating and maintaining the charts and schedules that keep us organized, up-to-date, and running smoothly she is also our expert on Payroll and Sales Taxes and considers it unacceptable that a client incur any penalties for late or incorrect filings. Lenore enjoys fine dining, bowling and Texas Hold ‘em though not necessarily in that order.
